The Philippine National Headquarters of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) gathered leaders, families, youth, and guests to commemorate the 13th Year of the Universal Ascension (Seonghwa) of Rev. Sun Myung Moon, True Parent of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind. With hearts of gratitude and renewed resolve, the community offered prayers, songs, and testimonies celebrating a life dedicated to God’s dream of one family under Heaven.
The commemoration opened in solemn reverence as participants entered the main chapel adorned with a portrait of True Father and a beautifully prepared Holy Offering table. The fruits and grains symbolized the harvest o f lives touched by the vision of living for the sake of others. Gentle hymns set a reflective tone, inviting each person to offer quiet prayers for Heavenly Parent’s providence and for the continued health and mission of True Mother, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon.
From the outset, the atmosphere blended remembrance with living tradition. Families in white and young children in their Sunday best stood beside elders who have walked decades of providential history. The sight of generations together—grandparents, parents, and youth—captured the heart of the Seonghwa: not an end, but a transition that calls the living to inherit Heaven’s heart and responsibility.
In his message, the Regional Director expressed deep gratitude for the trust of Heavenly Parent and True Parents and reaffirmed a clear commitment to unity, faith, and the practice of true love. He called on the community to build strong, principled families, raise leaders of integrity, and expand a culture of service that uplifts neighborhoods and the nation. He also thanked the elders, missionaries, pastors, ministry leaders, and every member whose quiet devotion sustains the movement in the Philippines, offering special appreciation to families who consistently support the church through prayer, service, and stewardship.
Scripture readings and reflections highlighted the essence of the Seonghwa tradition—returning to the eternal embrace of Heavenly Parent, while inspiring those on earth to continue the providence with even greater focus. A choral rendition of sacred songs brought many to tears, followed by a moving congregational prayer for peace in the Philippines and around the world. Testimonies from long-time members and representatives of the youth expressed how the teachings of True Parents have guided their families through challenges, shaped their character, and stirred them to serve beyond personal boundaries.
As the program continued, representatives offered flowers before the portrait of True Father, each bow a quiet promise to walk the path of filial piety. Leaders led a prayer for unity among church communities nationwide—Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—asking that every local church become a beacon of family renewal, education, and service. The hall glowed with candlelight during a moment of remembrance, as names of beloved members who had previously ascended were lifted in prayer, affirming the eternal bond of heart that connects the earthly and heavenly realms.
The gathering also served as a time to renew the movement’s outward mission. Ministry heads shared brief updates on family education, youth leadership training, campus outreach, service activities, and interfaith collaboration. Emphasis was given to transparent and responsible stewardship, ensuring that every offering—large or small—is used to expand programs that strengthen families and bless communities. Parents and youth were invited to join upcoming seminars and service projects designed to translate faith into daily action.
In a spirit of unity, leaders encouraged each family to set goals for the coming year: daily family prayer and study, weekly acts of service, and consistent participation in church life. The call was simple yet profound—make every home a school of love, every week a practice of service, and every member a living testimony of Heaven’s dream. The congregation responded with heartfelt “Aju!”—a pledge to strive together, shoulder to shoulder, in the year ahead.
Determination. With absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience, FFWPU Philippines rededicates itself to raising principled families, empowering the next generation, and expanding a culture of living for the sake of others. We will strengthen education for couples and parents, nurture youth leaders grounded in character and service, and deepen partnerships that uplift local communities. We will pursue unity among leaders and members, practice transparency and humility, and work unceasingly to bring joy to Heavenly Parent and True Parents through visible results that bless our nation.
Before the closing benediction, the assembly joined in a final hymn of praise, offering the day’s devotion as a collective promise to keep building God-centered families and communities. The program concluded with fellowship and commemorative photos, capturing the warmth of a community determined to carry forward True Parents’ legacy with fresh vigor and hope.
As participants departed, many lingered in quiet conversation, sharing encouragement and ideas for ministry in their local areas. The anniversary was not only a remembrance of True Father’s holy ascension; it was a call to action for every family to shine as a sanctuary of love, a workshop of character, and a node of peace in the Philippines.
About the Universal Seonghwa. “Seonghwa” means “ascension and harmony,” expressing a heavenly transition rather than an earthly farewell. For Unificationists, the Seonghwa affirms eternal life with Heavenly Parent and the continuing purpose of those on earth to realize a world of genuine love and lasting peace. Each year, the anniversary invites members to reflect, repent, and re-commit to the providence with renewed gratitude and determination.
FFWPU Philippines extends heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, choir members, ministry leaders, technical teams, photographers, and families who prepared offerings and supported the event. May Heavenly Parent abundantly bless our families, our nation, and all who seek peace. Aju!
