On April 27, 2025, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) gathered at the National Headquarters in Quezon City, Philippines, and online across the Asia Pacific, for a moving program that brought together members, leaders, and families in a spirit of unity and gratitude. The day marked two significant milestones: the Appreciation Ceremony for Dr. Robert and Mrs. Theresia Kittel and the Inauguration Ceremony for newly appointed FFWPU Cheon Il Guk leaders.

Honouring a Lifetime of Service

The appreciation ceremony for Dr. Robert and Mrs. Theresia Kittel was a heartfelt tribute to their five decades of love, jeongseong, and service to the providence in Asia Pacific. Having dedicated much of their lives to education, pastoral care, and leadership training, the Kittels have left a profound imprint on countless families and communities. Testimonies highlighted not only their tireless efforts but also their parental heart, which inspired many to live faithfully and serve selflessly.

The event was filled with warm applause, heartfelt messages, and sincere prayers of gratitude, as members looked back on the immense contributions of the Kittels. Their journey has been one of sacrifice, vision, and enduring commitment to the mission of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, serving as guiding lights to both young and old across the region.

Inauguration of New Leaders

Following the appreciation program, attention turned to the future with the Inauguration Ceremony of new FFWPU leaders. This solemn yet hopeful moment underscored the passing of responsibility to a new generation of leaders tasked with carrying forward the providence with faith and determination.

Newly appointed leaders were introduced and affirmed before the gathered community, receiving encouragement and guidance to lead with humility, devotion, and courage. Their appointment represents not only continuity but also renewal, as the mission of FFWPU continues to expand in the Philippines and throughout Asia Pacific.

The inauguration highlighted the importance of leadership rooted in spiritual values, where serving the community with sincerity and integrity stands as the highest standard. Members present expressed their determination to support the new leaders and to walk together in the providence with renewed strength and unity.

Atmosphere of Unity and Hope

The hall was filled with vibrant energy as participants joined in prayers, songs, and reflections, creating an atmosphere of both solemnity and celebration. Members attending in person and those connected online shared in the joy of recognising the past while embracing the promise of the future.

The program was not only an official gathering but also a spiritual moment where hearts were rekindled with a sense of mission. Families reaffirmed their devotion to building Cheon Il Guk in their homes and communities, while leaders shared their commitment to serve with unwavering faith.

Looking Forward

As the event drew to a close, members reflected on the legacy of the Kittels and the responsibilities of the new leaders. The dual ceremony became a powerful reminder that FFWPU is built on both gratitude for the past and hope for the future. The dedication of those who came before continues to inspire today’s leaders to press on with renewed determination.

The day’s significance will be remembered as a milestone in FFWPU Philippines and Asia Pacific. The appreciation of devoted leaders and the inauguration of new ones is a testimony to the continuity of God’s providence — one that binds generations together in faith, service, and love.

As the community moves forward, the call is clear: to unite as one family under Heaven, to support one another, and to live out the vision of Cheon Il Guk with joy and determination.
