As the final offering of the Heavenly Asia Pacific Region before this year ends, the 2024 Hyojeong CheonBo Heavenly Asia Pacific Special Event was held at the Ynares Center, Antipolo City, Philippines on December 20-21, 2024.
With the theme “Inheriting the Spirit and Truth from True Mother through Cheonbo Works,” the event gathered thousands of members and supporters from all over the Philippines as well as from forty other nations in the Asia Pacific Region. Together with one united heart, brothers and sisters attended this historic occasion both onsite and online to offer their sincerest gratitude to heaven for the amazing grace bestowed upon them in this golden time of Providence.
Day 1 -December 20, 2024
The first day commenced in the evening of December 20 with an orientation of the program given by Dr. Edgar Tanate, the Education Head of the HJ Cheonbo Asia Pacific Branch. It was followed by the Chanyang Yeoksa Session led by the Chanyang Team and the Bequeathal Ceremony of the Special Candle of Tree of All True Things.
One thousand two hundred members shook the grounds of the Ynares Center as they offered
their prayers and praises during the Cheon Shim Won Vigil Prayer held from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00
midnight. Dubbed as the largest CSW vigil prayer gathering outside of Korea, the event was also
attended by 1072 online participants.
Day 2- December 21, 2024
The opening program on the 2 nd day started with the singing of the Cheon Il Guk National
Anthem and the recitation of the Family Pledge Number 5. The Water of Harmony Ceremony –
Peace Offering followed thereafter with nine representative Christian clergies joining on stage
to conduct this solemn ceremony aimed to symbolically connect all of us as one family under
God. Then, they altogether led everyone in the recitation of the Universal Prayer for Peace.
Rev. Leo Angelo Halog, President of FFWPU Philippines, gave the welcome remarks. He greeted
all participants present and mentioned that this important event is a testament to the power of
collective action and shared vision of all brothers and sisters.
A video presentation on the Cheon Won Gung Providence in Korea followed suit. Subsequently,
the Brotherhood and Sisterhood Ceremony between Christan Clergy from different denominations was held to show their solidarity in praying for the nation and the world. Prior to that, Dr. Robert S. Kittel, FFWPU Asia Pacific Cheon Eui Won Chairman, gave the Introduction to the Brotherhood and Sisterhood Ceremony and shared about its profound significance. In his speech, he spoke about the many initiatives that our movement has been doing to raise healthy families, communities and nation and how we continuously work together with religious leaders and the government to make those happen.
A special dance performance from the La Union Cultural Dance Troupe captured the audience, showcasing the young members talent and dance prowess. Hon. Nina Ricci Ynares-Chiongban, the Governor of the Province of Rizal, represented by Vice Governor Reynaldo H. San Juan, also gave her congratulatory message.
The Special Youth Volunteer Service Team in Antipolo City as a model for igniting the culture of living for the sake of others among the youth was also officially launched. This initiative in partnership with the City of Antipolo aimed to foster volunteerism and community among the youth in the city. Representing Hon. Casimiro Ynares III, the City Mayor of Antipolo, his wife and the former Mayor Andrea Andeng Ynares, led the official launching of the service team. Mrs. Ynares gave an inspiring congratulatory message for the organizers and participants of the event. After their speeches, a certificate of appreciation was also given to Vice Governor San Juan and Former Vice Mayor Andeng Ynares.
The Chanyang Team took the stage once again as they sang a special song entitled “Way Maker.” Then, Dr. In Choon Kim, President of the HJ Cheonbo Asia Pacific Branch gave a special message. Afterwards, new members of the FFWPU Philippines were recognized on stage. The afternoon session on the 2 nd day started with the opening prayer offered by Dr. Julius B. Malicdem, the Regional Vice President of FFWPU Asia Pacific and Sub-Regional Director for Southeast Asia. The Chanyang Team then led the congregation in singing “I Will Pray Now.” All participants including 2849 onsite and 1072 online were all ears when Rev Lee Gi Seong delivered his special message through a video.
His speech was followed by the Hyojeong Offering Ceremony. Then everyone showed their heart and sincere devotion as they joined in the Chanyang Yeoksa Session and Ancestor Liberation Ceremony led by Dr. Edgar Tanate.
During the entertainment session, the Ancestors Blessing Ceremony was held simultaneously at the CSW Room.
The year end celebration program featured performances from the Hyojeong Rang Song Competition participants and Tong Il Moo Do Philippines. Special prizes were also given to members during the raffle draw. Region 7 participants (Harmony of Hope) took the top spot in the Song and Praise Competition.
In essence, the Hyojeong Cheonbo Heavenly Asia Pacific Special Event was indeed a profound and transformative experience for all who attended. It reinforced the importance of inheriting the spirit and truth from our True Mother through CheonBo works, and it strengthened the bonds of fellowship and unity among all brothers and sisters. The event was a living testament to the enduring legacy and spiritual guidance of True Parents inspiring all of us to continue in our journey of faith and service.
